Swavalambana is registered trust as a NGO Dharpana, 80G, 12A CSR(1) and located at Kengeri Bangalore Karnataka and Has been working for people with disabilities in general and visually impaired in particular since 2026. Started with 3 blind members and become a family of 45 members. Our Mission is to assist visually impaired induvial and enable them to lead independently and dignified lives thought education, Training, Counselling, Communication and Technology

How we got started
Swavalambana Angavikalara Foundation (R) for the blind was set up to provide a helping hand to the blind our trust believes blindness is not a handicap but an opportunity in the seeing the world in it differently and unequally. If you are someone you know is blind has low vision or is experiencing sight loss, we are here to help.

We are Conducting and educating for the orphanage of blinds in computer training, Music, Sports… We also conducts of sports and cricket, kabaddi, for every state level, district level, national level for blind and orphan children’s, already we have a sports person and further looking for a source

Helping Hands
Swavalambana believes giving helping hand for a orphans children’s as well further giving shelter, education, hostel, food facilities Etc and also provided 50 blind students free bus pass and pensions in the fight of 4 to 5 days, and also blind stick for our trust members.

Founder Statement
Prameela is a founder and decision maker of swavalambana angavikalara Foundation, she was normal housewife, Later her brother has become a blind and it was too tough to protect him always so she came with an struggleness of her brother situation , and made a decision to make an foundation to takecare of all blinds of same personality who struggles to live a life, and obsessed to help them who are in the need of the light for the long journey and started Swavalambana foundation to pledge and taken oath on those who are in lost trust on their life started searching to gather lost souls in the darkness from all over the environment.
